The universe works on a math equation

The picture above is an old photo that I came across recently. From 2003-ish, perhaps? I really can’t recall. So what is up, buttercup? As for me, the way things have been currently:

• Stressing out over baby names. I really can’t believe how hard it is to decide on a girl name. Did I mention? – We already had a boy name picked out (Lincoln!), and that was uber-easy to decide on. But this girl name thing? Impossible.

• Chadu & I made cupcakes a few days ago! It was the first time that either of us has ever attempted to make cupcakes. And they turned out perfectly! Pictures yay:

• Speaking of cupcakes, I got the most adorable hair clip in the mail from Kelsi. Go check out her website, she’s selling even more cute hair clips here.

• I’ve been obsessed with the Alice: Madness Returns video game. I don’t play video games, myself, but I’ve been watching Chadu play it.

• Finally! I made my first digital art journal since January! Making digital journals is truly my most favourite thing to do in the world. I wish I would make time to do it more often!

Details:

• Other tidbits of excitement: I’m going to be exchanging artist trading cards with the lovely Erica of star-stuff.net! I’ve never made an artist trading card before. I’m looking forward to creating some! ♦ Being re-inspired by the work of Eduardo Recife. I discovered his art years upon years ago and it’s still one of my biggest inspirations ever. ♦ I’m taking part in The Summer Sessions, started by Magen Toole of eonism.net. Check it out soon, it’ll be starting next month. ♦ Random pictures, ahoy:

A light of some kind

I had a temporary creative lull when it came to posting blog entries, or doing anything productive, really. (Perhaps I’ll blame it on the pregnancy.) I’ve been mostly lazy & sleepy lately. But I’ve recently started a new exercise routine & I think I’m gaining some energy and inspiration back. As for my pregnancy, things are going well! I hope to find out in a few weeks if it’s a boy or girl! I’m still waiting on a proper, visible baby bump though. In other news, I bought myself a Batman shirt. Yay!

I’ve got it all (most)

Oh, make me over

I haven’t been doing self-portraits nearly as often as I used to. I’m mostly just sick of looking at myself. I think I need someone to give me a makeover haha. … I want to be more fashionable. Learn how to properly apply make-up. Et cetera. Other aesthetic things I hope to do in the future: get a half-sleeve tattoo on my left arm. (I’ve been daydreaming about this for years, but still have not decided what exactly I would like to get.) & I want to let my blonde hair grow out & then dip-dye it. (Dirty blonde & mermaid-princess blue/green would be lovely, I reckon.)

Nice things

Just for fun, Chadu made that koala image (above) for me. Because I heart koalas & “Omg hi” is kind of my catchphrase lol Playing card games with my family Forcing myself to make art every day again. (I love having these little creative challenges for myself.) Listening to the awesome mix cd that Chadu made for me. Chocolate fudge cake Mr. Show with Bob and David Watching Spaced with commentary. (Did you know that the American dvd release features commentaries by: Kevin Smith, Matt Stone, Diablo Cody, Patton Oswalt, Bill Hader, and Quentin Tarantino? That is a major collection of awesome.) & Some good blogs that I’ve come across recently:

Cosmic Crumbles – A tumblr that is great for fashion inspiration. Lots of lovely, vibrant photos.

Jennifer Dziura – Go read her blog. She writes intelligent, informative, & witty articles. I admire this lady’s ambition immensely. She does it all!

End of March – I love her art & everything about her, really.

P.S. I’m always looking for new blogs to read. If you have a blog, please feel free to leave me a comment & say ‘ello! If I love your website lots, I will mention it on my blog in a future entry.
