It’s a GIRL!

I’ve had two ultrasounds in the past week. My first was on June 14th. Since I’m now 20 weeks pregnant, I was hoping that I’d find out the sex of my baby. Unfortunately, I didn’t find out that day. Baby was being shy! It was still a great ultrasound, though. Baby was being really active and cute, waving her arms about and moving her mouth open and closed.


Later that day, I had a scare because my doctor called me back to tell me that they found cysts on Baby’s brain. The doctor told me, though, not to be frightened. She said that it’s a common occurrence and the cysts usually end up disappearing after a few weeks. Well, regardless of that, I still felt really scared. I felt physically sick and uneasy the rest of the day.


The very next day, I was scheduled to go to a hospital in Pittsburgh for a more advanced ultrasound to check the cysts out. I was so absolutely relieved to find that the cysts had already shrunk below the point of concern. And there were no signs of any sort of birth defects. That day, I also found out that Baby is a girl! I’m so excited! I honestly didn’t mind either way, if it was a boy or girl. But yes, I must admit, I’m rather giddy over the fact that its a girl! I’m now daydreaming about her cute little dresses, tutus, pretty headbands. Playing barbies with her when she’s older. Having tea parties. I can’t wait!

Now, my only stress is trying to figure out a name! I honestly thought it would be easy to figure out a name for a girl. I thought picking a boy name would be more difficult. As it turns out, we already had a boy name planned (Lincoln), but we still have yet to come up with a girl name. I have an ever-growing list of names that I’m considering. Here’s what I have so far. (Though I honestly don’t know if I’m going to pick any name on the list.)
